My Weight Loss Journey
Who hasn't had the experience of getting ready for a party, date or just going to work only to discover when putting on those clothes you had in mind to wear, they just won't fit comfortably anymore! Well that happened to me recently, in fact that is happening to me all too often. How embarrassing it was when I asked my boyfriend to zip me up in my party dress and found that he couldn't. Out came the trusty jeans and blouse again for that evening. So beings my weight loss journey.
I have always been active and so pretty much have been able eat reasonably well and still maintain my figure but over the last few years I haven't been as active as times gone by and wouldn't you know it the middle age spread isn't so much of a myth anymore.
One of the hardest things was to actually admit that perhaps, just maybe I could afford to shed a few kilos *groans* I have found through talking with my friends that on average what most people have as a weight loss goal is not really that huge. It is the same for me. However it's not so much the specific weight loss amount but body appearance and muscle tone improvement that we desire. This is what we see in the mirror every day and what other people see and also what helps us ladies fit well into that dress again!
I truly believe habits are what direct us to making the choices we make

Your stories, comments and feedback always welcome.
Sounds like you have a very sensible attitude. Diets don't work but a healthy lifestyle change always does. I have never worried about my weight either and this last year when, for health reasons, I changed what I was eating I had 6kg slip off me. I must admit I felt great about myself and loved wearing my skirts that dangled off my hips!

Being a good weight is not only physically healthy but also emotionally helpful. Good luck with it all!
