Almost everything went perfectly. But don't we always remember the glitch that made our graduation different? This time it was a computer glitch. The choir was lined up ready to start the musical selection "If We Hold On Together" with a sextet of seniors in the front. And then, the music didn't start. Principal Paul Jebe was working furiously on the computer in the background. The music still didn't start. The crowd got restless. The crowd got unruly. Someone started stomping up high in the bleachers, setting up a rhythm with clapping. The choir figured they might as well join in. The graduating seniors maintained their decorum. Bruce Vining,

Celine bags, and the choir performance was beautiful. "Now wasn't that worth waiting for?" said Superintendent Carol Noll, returning the ceremony to normal. Before the computer glitch, the ceremony had moved like clockwork. Dillon Eveatt gave a rousing "Knocked Down,

"Now some of you go out and go to work for Apple and make sure something like this (the music glitch in the computer) doesn't happen again." A cynic remarked quietly, "It wasn't Apple's fault."Many graduates received scholarships, which will be duly noted in the report Secretary Malle Schindler is making and sending to the newspaper. The top 10 students were all awarded trophies. There was a standing ovation for our Boettcher and National Merit Scholar, Michael Rees. All of the graduates of La Junta High School gathered in the gym stood up and were recognized. After Superintendent Carol Noll pronounced the official graduation of the seniors, they changed the tassels on their caps. There was a slight pause, and then the caps were flying in the air, high up in the rafters. It looked suspiciously as though salutatorian Dillon Eveatt started the idea,

"It was just a long, fought day," Johnson said after climbing from his car in Victory Lane. "Martinsville, it stays the same over the years and you just have to dig in and get your own rhythm. Fortunately,

Charles Talent Manx loved children. He loved them so much that he tried to protect them from their parents because Manx knew that tattooed women and preoccupied fathers meant trouble. So he enticed children into his 1938 Rolls Royce Wraith, promising that they鈥檇 live with him at Christmasland, where there were gifts every morning and candy every night. No child could resist Christmasland.
