If the market does recover then it will be inflationary and gold will rise in price. $1600/oz seems pretty much what the powers that be are happy with for the time being, so no great upside but equally no great downside especially as varioud governments are buying at this price.

Although it is true that equity prices rise or fall in tandem relative to investor sentiment nevertheless it is the individuality of stocks, even within sectors, that is all important, where some may well benefit from adverse conditions in the overall economy. It is only by replacing dud stocks with new ones thought to have promise that most indexes are able to show ミュウミュウ バッグ any appreication over the years, and so are effectively useless as indicators of historic marker conditions. Individual stock selection is the only way to invest, and so general economic theories are fairly pointless exercises, as have been well evidenced over the years. Even so the article is interesting and the most likely answer as to why pessimism factors may indicate a change is that pessimism frequently accords with the market's low points, and so leaves nothing more to be pessimistic about at the point it turn upwards.

If you read books on the 30's depression it seems very little goes up in general terms but it is difficult to judge what may have happened to gold since it was held at a fixed rate during those times, and there is always a danger that the public (including hedge funds )will be forbidden to trade in gold itself. Nov 1 12:12 PMA great deal of this problem has to do with Germany's inability to take on board that if they want the EU to continue they need use the ECB to issue Eurobonds with all countries of the Euro including Germany standing behind the bonds, plus a 30% トリーバーチ 財布 devaluation of the Euro at least. To satisfy Germany this would require all the EU nation states to accept common fiscal rules dictated by Germany, and that is a long way off right now as need for a Greek referendum is proving. The likelihood is that one by one Greece, Portugal etc leave the Euro reneging on their debts until those few who remain need decide whether to continue with it or not. My view is the German people may well opt themselves to leave the Euro if the others do not and re-establish the DM.

Oct 31 12:23 PMThis article is all based on an economic solution and ignores the Germans's principal agenda to both to save its own skin and obtain control over a far stronger political and fiscal union in Europe. Until that was agreed (as it グッチ 時計 now was last night and which Germany made compulsory if the PIGS need German funding) the Germans have refused use of the European equivalent of the Fed (the EC to deliver on the QE front (now working in the USA with the UK copying fast). Even though the Germans are hung up on being scared of inflation they recognise the urgent need for growth and so QE will soon follow plus the collapse of many cherished Socialist ideals on employment and pensions that have stifled European growth for so long. If it takes the same sort of controlled inflation to repay debts that are no greater than those in the US and UK then thye Europeans will have the sense to follow suit. There is no alternative.

Its all still under way and she does not give a fig for stock markets right now while she seeks re-election and avoiding telling the Germans they caused most of the trouble by keeping far too high a rate for the Euro which wrecked the PIGS only to benefit the Germans. No wonder she cannot face Europe's disintegration. Germany would be the biggest loser and be isolated once again.
