I recognize the history of some difficult times with Cal Fire but also note and painfully remember the issues that got us here in the first place, like the lack of transparency,longchamp pas cher, misuse of funds and cronyism that the majority of the board seems like they are set on wanting to bring back. I find it extremely hard to, in this environment of inadequate fiscal funds and other needed areas to resource on the Coastside for services, that the current majority on the board has set a course that is going to cost the coast millions that we would not otherwise have to spend (darn, I let a nasty fact slip in with my opinions sorry).Let us not forget the members on the board not facing recall who wisely do not want to go back to the local cronyism of the past and vote to bring some new and independent voices to the board that will bring smart local control and budgetary practicality to the Coastside Fireboard. So I would offer the counter opinion of voting Yes on Recall, and save the money that 2 independent reviews told the board keeping CalFire would save. Mismanagement of our scarce funding should not be rewarded.
