Richard David Sumpter, 68, of Heber Springs died Tuesday, April 23 in Little Rock. Sumpter was born on January 1, 1945 in Parkin, Ark., to Helen and Derwood Sumpter.He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother, Lynn. Sumpter is survived by his three children - Lana, Reggie (Angela), and Casey - Crystal Kyzer Sumpter (mother of Casey) and Linda Saletto (mother of Reggie and Lana). He is also survived by two grandchildren, siblings Aubrey (Patricia, Anne, Terry, and Roger along with a host of cousins, nieces,ghd, nephews, and countless friends.The funeral service was held April 27 at Heber Springs Baptist Church.
