The first year of the ReadingPals program wrapped up in April and we are not wasting any time in preparing for next year. When we asked for volunteer readers last summer, we could not have anticipated how strongly the community would come out in support of our fledging program. We surpassed our goal of matching 175 struggling readers in kindergarten,Beats by Monster, first, or second grade with 175 caring adults for a one-on-one reading session an hour each week for 25 weeks. In addition to this individualized attention,monster beats, each child was able to take home a brand new book each week of the program, allowing our young readers to start building their home libraries.
