Driver controls the radio. And, if any song is to be sung out loud in the car, it must be from the 80s with a few possible exceptions of a few from the early 90s.
Energy professionals gathered Monday in the fourth largest US city of Houston to address the latest technologies and safety concerns for oil and natural gas exploration and production in Arctic. The second Arctic Technology Conference (ATC), the largest of its kind in the world,http://www.saclongchamproses.com/, focuses on seven topical areas,chaneloutletroses.com, including resources, exploration drilling, production drilling, facilities and export; physical environment, logistics and marine transportation and regulatory and environment.Technical experts will present their knowledge and ideas on the exploration and production of onshore and offshore Arctic basins.Exhibitors also are bringing their latest cutting-edge technologies to the three-day Houston conference, which is drawing about 2,000 attendees from some 50 countries and regions. On the importance of the Arctic to humans, John R. Hogg, Chairman of ATC Technology Program Committee, said the Arctic in one of the last frontiers for energy exploration and production."The Arctic is made up of a vast area of land that has really little exploration today with enormous potential for oil and gas," he said.Hogg also stressed the tough challenges the energy industry faces when exploring and producing in the region. One challenge is the very harsh environment in the Arctic, and the number two challenge is the environmental concerns."If you ever have a spill, louboutin, it's very difficult to clean up oil in an icy environment," Hogg said, adding that that's why there is one session at this conference on oil spill preparedness in the Arctic. The Arctic holds the world's largest remaining untapped gas reserves and some of its largest undeveloped oil reserves. A significant proportion of these reserves lie offshore, in the Arctic's shallow and biologically productive shelf seas. According to the oil industry, the Arctic is the final frontier for petroleum development.
