Kaye Lynn Davis Tackett was born on June 24, 1937 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 25, 2013. She was born in Muskogee,Hogan, OK to Kenneth and Maxine Davis. Kaye was a 1955 graduate of Will Rogers High School and a 1958 graduate of Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She received her master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Tulsa in 1973. She worked at Nathan Hale High School for 25 years teaching English, speech, drama and debate before retiring in 1990. She also taught Speech at TCC for several years. At the time of her death, she was an active member of Memorial Bible Church. She also attended Covenant Fellowship Bible Church for over 20 years. She was responsible for the creation of 3 different church libraries in her lifetime. She was passionate about read- ing,Chanel Outlet, playing cards, singing, teaching Bible study, swimming at the Y, and her beloved OSU Cowboys. Kaye is survived by: her adoring husband of 44 years, Wayne Tackett; 3 daughters, Leslie Anderson (Gulf Shores, AL), Paige Glover (Tulsa), and Leigh Anne Simmons (Broken Arrow); 7 grandchildren, Katie, Karli, Colby, Brady, Keaton, Sydney and Parker; 2 greatgrandchildren, Donovan and Katibree; brother,Burberry Bags, Don Davis (Colleyville, TX); nieces,ghdwhairrose.co, Debbie Altman and Dana Fields and nephew, Dax Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Maxine Davis. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 2:00 at Memorial Bible Church 8720 E. 61st St. She will reside at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International or Grace Hospice.
