Anita G. Bishop died in her home, surrounded by her family and friends, on October 4, 2012 at the age of 91. Born in Torreon, Mexico, she came to the U. Ross State Park and later, Armstrong State Park in Guerneville. She taught Spanish at Stillwater Cove School for Boys in Ft. Ross and was involved in the local PTA and the Boys and Girl Scouts. Later the family moved to Guerneville where she taught Spanish at St. Rose Catholic School. She also was an Instructor Assistant at the Monte Rio and Guerneville schools. In addition,
