ภาควิชาวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้าและอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ประยุกต์ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม จัดกิจกรรมโครงการแข่งขัน “รถวิ่งตามเส้นเจ้าความเร็ว : Engineering Challenge 2016” ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมการแข่งขันรถเจ้าความเร็วอัจฉริยะสมองกลวิ่งตามเส้นทางที่กำหนด โดยมีนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายและนักศึกษาระดับอาชีวะศึกษาเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน เพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันได้ฝึกฝนการพัฒนาโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ ให้สามารถทำงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ส่งเสริมและพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านนวัตกรรมสิ่งประดิษฐ์ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ซึ่งมีเยาวชนจากหลายสถาบันการศึกษา ให้ความสนใจและตื่นตัว ส่งทีมเข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขันเป็นจำนวนมากถึง 145 โรงเรียนทั่วประเทศ โดยภายในงานยังได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร.รัชนีพร พุคยาภรณ์ พุกกะมาน อธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดและมอบรางวัลแก่เยาวชนที่ชนะเลิศในการแข่งขันฯ ซึ่งในวันอังคารที่ 23 สิงหาคม 2559 เวลา 13.00 น. เป็นต้นไป จะทำการแข่งขันใน “รอบชิงชนะเลิศ” ณ ห้องบัวหลวงแกรนด์รูม อาคาร ดร.สุข พุคยาภรณ์ ชั้น 5 มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ด้าน ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชลธิศ เอี่ยมวรวุฒิกุล คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม กล่าวถึงการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ว่า....คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ได้จัดงานนี้ขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อให้นักเรียนและนักศึกษา ได้ออกแบบสร้างรถแข่งวิ่งตามเส้นในรูปแบบการตรวจจับความแตกต่างและสัญลักษณ์ บนพื้นผิวได้อย่างถูกต้อง เพื่อค้นหาสถาบันการศึกษาที่มีความเป็นเลิศทางด้านสิ่งประดิษฐ์ สำหรับรถวิ่งตามเส้นความเร็วสูง เพื่อฝึกฝนการออกแบบและพัฒนาการเขียนโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำหรับควบคุมการทำงานของรถวิ่งตามเส้นได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ตลอดจนส่งเสริมและพัฒนาศักยภาพด้าน นวัตกรรมสิ่งประดิษฐ์และความคิดสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับระบบการศึกษาของประเทศไทย โดยสามารถนำไปใช้งานได้จริงเพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพองค์ความรู้ และกิจกรรมการศึกษานอกห้องเรียนให้เป็นประโยชน์อย่างสูงสุด
คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร - ผู้สมัครกำลังศึกษาในระดับมัธยมศึกษา ไม่เกินระดับ ม.6 - ผู้สมัครกำลังศึกษาในระดับอาชีวะศึกษา เงื่อนไขการสมัคร - ทีมละไม่เกิน 3 คน และอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา กฎกติกาและเงื่อนไข - ใช้รถแข่งวิ่งตามเส้นคันเดียวกันตลอดการแข่งขัน ห้ามมีการสับเปลี่ยนรถแข่งในขณะแข่งขัน - ไม่จำกัดเทคโนโลยีที่ใช้งาน - ไม่จำกัดน้ำหนัก - ขนาดของตัวรถกว้าง× ยาวไม่เกิน 210 × 297 มิลลิเมตร (ขนาดไม่เกินกระดาษ A4) - การแข่งขันจำนวน 2 รอบ เอารอบเวลาที่ดีที่สุด - หากหลุดออกจากแข่งขันให้สามารถนำมาวางในจุดที่กำหนดหลังเส้นจับเวลา แต่จะไม่หยุดจับเวลา ข้อบังคับ - ห้ามใช้เครื่องยนต์ทุกชนิด หรือใช้วิธีการจุดระเบิด หรือวิธีการใดๆ ที่ก่อให้เกิดอันตรายต่อชีวิตและทรัพย์สินของผู้จัดและผู้เข้าร่วม - ห้ามมีการบังคับด้วยมือ หรือส่งสัญญาณช่วยในการควบคุมรถแข่ง - หากมีการร้องเรียน การทำผิดกฎกติกา หรือข้อกำหนด ถือว่าละเมิดข้อบังคับต่างๆ จะถูกตัดสิทธิ์ในการแข่งขัน และตัดสิทธิ์ในรางวัลต่างๆ รางวัลการแข่งขัน - รางวัล Winner รางวัลละ 15,000 บาท(พร้อมถ้วยรางวัล) - รางวัล Best Technique Award รางวัลละ 5,000 บาท - รางวัล Special Award รางวัลละ 5,000 บาท - ผู้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันจนจบรายการ ได้ใบประกาศนียบัตร และเหรียญรางวัลความสำเร็จ (Engineering Achievement Award) - ทุกทีมที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกจะได้รับเงินสนับสนุนทีม ทีมละ 1,500 บาท เกณฑ์การตัดสิน (คำตัดสินของกรรมการถือว่าเป็นที่สิ้นสุด) - หาความเร็วสูงสุดในการแข่งขัน จากทีมทั้งหมดที่เข้าร่วม - เทคโนโลยี/ระบบควบคุม - ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ รูปแถบสีของพื้นสนามที่ใช้ในการแข่งขัน - วัสดุพื้นไม้ทาสีดำ กว้าง 30 เซนติเมตร - เส้นสีขาว (ตรงกลาง) ความกว้าง 3 เซนติเมตร - เส้นสีขาว (ด้านข้างทั้งสองข้าง) ความกว้าง 3 เซนติเมตร สนามที่ใช้ในการแข่งขัน สนามมีขนาดความกว้าง 300 เซนติเมตร ความยาว 900 เซนติเมตร
