Special to the TribuneThe annual Home & Garden Show of the Yavapai County Contractors Association started in a horse corral with only five participants, according to YCCA Executive Director Sandy Griffis.The show has grown over the years to around 200 vendors, and has taken place in recent years at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley.The free event enters its 35th year today, and will include home builders, energy auditors, plumbing and other subcontractors, outdoor barbecue vendors, suppliers, roofers and other trades. Some vendors will be new this year while others have participated for years."It's good exposure," said Larry Moench,p90x dvd, owner of Renewal Construction in Diamond Valley. "When you get to talk to a potential customer, that is always a plus," said Moench, who specializes in vinyl siding work.
