Country duo Thompson Square rocked the heart of Oklahoma Thursday night with a tour stop at Cain's Ballroom that was so much more than just a concert.Miami, Okla.-raised frontman Keifer Thompson and his frontwoman Shawna are Thompson Square, complete with a five-piece backing band. At times, three guitars lead the charged into its varied set, full-throttle,longchamp chaussures, blending elements of rock, blues and reggae ... with lots of hand-waving back-and-forth by the fans.Keifer was home, and his joy radiated from the stage -- as did jokes about his love for Tulsa's Coney Island.Shawna dressed in a sweet, high-waisted slate tank dress, her husband in black rocker tank, jeans and black fedora. They paid tribute to Oklahoma -- and to Cain's Ballroom -- at Thursday night's show."I can't explain what it means for us to be here for you tonight," Keifer said. His wife added, "Y'all have had a hard time. He's happy to be home and to share our music and hope."He added, "I gotta lot of friends and family here." A scream rose from the audience. "There's one!" The room erupted in laughter. They launched into a version of Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee" to cheers and two-stepping couples. A man threw his cowboy hat into the air. After the tune, Shawna took a somber note. "What happened this week has really hurt our hearts."Keifer finished her thought: "I was raised here and you just never get used to that crap," he said of the devastation wrought by this week's tornadoes. The pair announced that all merchandise sales from Thursday's concert -- and the next few stops on their tour -- will go to the Red Cross. "We're gonna raise at least $20,000,Hogan," he said.In addition, Cain's donated part of the night's ticket proceeds to the Oklahoma Tornado Relief fund established by The Salvation Army USA, as did the vendor Ticketfly.Rock riffs hung like a shimmering glitter ball over country-tinged tunes "I Got You,hogan outlet," "Just Feels Good," "Getaway Car," "I Can't Outrun You," "Here We Go Again," "Testing the Water," "Everything I Shouldn't be Thinking About," and a version of Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" dedicated to our troops (Keifer sounded eerily like Petty) and ended with a crowd-belting sing-along.The couple is rowdy, fun, cheery and loving. The pair entered the stage with grins, Shawna pantomiming raising her glass high to toast fans. Keifer stripped to a sleeveless tee. The drummer and keyboardist perched themselves high over the frontcouple on strobe-laden risers.Keifer spoke little, chanel handbags, saving his voice instead for song. He's been on strict vocal rest between shows -- the strain showed little but for a couple of brief Bob Dylan-esque moments of soft, blurred speech.Charlie Worsham opened the night with a set of Americana-inspired country-rock. He embarked on a flight of fantasy with his expansive, soaring guitar work and songs including his songs "Young to See," "Could itBe" and "Trouble Is," along with swingy tributes to George Jones' "Tip of the Hat," Merle Haggard's "Rambling' Fever" and a banjo-laden, foot-stompin' bluegrass version of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train.""It's so good to be standing on some Red Dirt history," he said of playing the historic Cain's Ballroom, and dropped names including the Turnpike Troubadours and talked about the time years ago when a drunk stole Haggard's portrait from the wall. ... It was eventually returned, he said."I know you guys have had a hard, louboutin, hard week,Burberry Outlet," he said as he strummed the first few notes of "How I Learned to Pray,saclongchamproses.com," "I love the people here and the music here and my heart goes out to everyone effected by this, which is all of us. I want you to know that Nashville stands with you tonight."

But that most coveted of prizes ?the foul ball ?was also the hardest to find during the 10-3 win that the Bees (23-23) earned over Memphis (22-21). And that’s why Horizon Elementary fifth-grader Joshua Christiansen kept his close, cradled in his mother’s glove he had borrowed.
"It was disappointing, but I put it down to bad luck and misfortune, not frustration. If I had qualified 17th because I had only done the 17th best time, then I would have really been frustrated."
