The Russellville Lady Cyclones defeated the Benton Lady Panthers 2-1 in the class 6A state finals game held last weekend at Bogle Park in Fayetteville.The Lady Cyclones seek revenge against Lake Hamilton in the second round to avenge last years state finals loss to the Lady Wolves. Coach Sisson believed that win was special due to Lake Hamilton being a tough team and prevailing over the reigning class 6A state champs. But he looks forward to defend the class 6A state title.Sisson is a former Hope Bobcat athlete where he played baseball and graduated from Hope High School in 1975, then attended Southern Arkansas University graduating in 1980. Sisson returned back to Hope and coached at Hope High School for 15 years as he's been an assistant coach in football as a defensive coordinator and in junior high basketball. He became the head Bobcat baseball coach and has won several conference titles for Hope.He's coached numerous good athletes in Hope along with several great Hope coaches during his time at Hope High School. Also, (Harley)Sisson coached in Magnolia for seven years. He had the opportunity to coach with his brother David Sisson in Magnolia before going to take over the Russellville softball program and learned valuable coaching aspects. David Sisson recently stepped down from head baseball coach for Magnolia this 2013 season, where he's had major success for the Panther's program. As both brothers have state championship backgrounds, Harley Sisson got advice from his younger brother (David Sisson) and told him, make sure your ring is big, because you want to be able to see it.
