The ambitious 17-year-old, a high-school senior at Academics Plus Charter School, has single-handedly taken on one of the most under-reported crimes in the U.S. - domestic violence.Yes, pictures of domestic abuse can be hard to look at. They're a dark image into the lives of so many women.Silva-Nash says, "If you make the right phone calls. It's a 5K race. It was started last year and $6,000 was raised for two domestic violence shelters.
