After a very short illness, Bill Hargreaves died at home in the care of his family at the age of 102 years. He was born in Oceanside, CA at his family home overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Hargreaves led a childhood of romping about the small beach community with his best friend and cousin, Harry. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1935 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. During World War II, Hargreaves served on an escort aircraft carrier in the Pacific where he achieved the rank of lieutenant commander. After the war,coachmaindesign.com, he went to work as a chemist and production manager for Nesbitt’s in Los Angeles. In 1948 he married Janet Ingalls and together they raised three children, Richard,chanel outlet, Bob, and Nancy. They moved to Sebastopol in 1982 and enjoyed an active retirement of golf, duplicate bridge,oakley sunglasses, tennis, gardening, and socializing with friends. Hargreaves was preceded in death by his wife Janet in 2010. He is survived by his children; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
